"Intro to the Fire Service" Essentials of Firefighting: 16 hour class Thursday February 23, 2012 at 6:30pm, Tuesday Feb. 28, March 6th, and March 13. Each student must have the Delmar Essentials of Firefighting and Emergency Response, textbook, workbook/skills book, TOG, goggles. Books can be obtained from the Western Pa. Fireman's Assoc. Water Rescue Phase 1 Water Rescue & Emergency Response: Monday April 16th 2012 6:30pm, Thursday April 19th 2012, and Sunday April 22, 2012. This 16 hour course includes swiftwater rescue techniques. Using both classroom and practical hands-on training, water rescue & emergency response covers planning, medical considerations, rescue equipment, self-rescue and shore rescue techniques. This course meets or exceeds NFPA 1670 operator level guidelines. Class held at the Hunlock Creek Fire Hall
